Ace Combat 7 takes to the Nintendo skies, hits Switch this summer

Bandai Namco’s hugely successful flight action game, Ace Combat 7 is coming to Switch with Skies Unknown Deluxe Edition.

Quick, how successful do you think Ace Combat 7 has been? Keeping in mind that the aerial combat game has been out for consoles and PC since 2019, you might assume it’s got some solid sales to tout. But even so, you might be thinking too low. We certainly were, as Bandai Namco says that the game’s quietly sold north of five million copies. Pretty impressive, especially since it’s a game that doesn’t get all that much press.

But while it’s done that well, there was one console that never got a port. Of course that was the Nintendo Switch, a system that’s about to get just that, with the Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Deluxe Edition.

Callsign: Trigger, the Osean Federation needs you to take to the skies. The fictional continent of Usean has fallen under conflict between the Osean Federation and the Kingdom of Erusea.
