It’s going to be a whole new battlefield tomorrow for Warzone players, as Urzikstan arrives for play as a part of Season 1.
Just one of the Stans
This year’s Call of Duty offerings have been met with… apathy? We’re not sure if that’s the best word, but it probably sums up the reaction from the player-base well enough, as Modern Warfare III didn’t seem to enthuse too many and Warzone chatter has been tepid.
That might change though, as Season 1 kicks off tomorrow for the multiplayer-centric, online title. Set to be a loaded offering, Season 1 will bring a whole new map for play, along with a host of other eventualities. Activision released an early look yesterday, so if you’ve yet to check it out, hit ‘play’ below.
Dramatic enough for you? Aside from the tunes, we got a pretty nice look at the gameplay that Warzone will serve up with Season 1. The mode will serve up not just the new map, but also Ashika Island and Vondel, to create a trio of playgrounds.
There’s also CODMAS, which is a special event that’s obviously centered on Christmastime. Of course, this being Call of Duty, it’s not exactly a warm, family-friendly happening. Instead, fans will go up against a Zombie Santa and have to put up with an onslaught of undead… deer. Yep. At least there are presents under the tree. Don’t forget to pop those bad boys open, you never know what you might find.
Season 1 kicks off tomorrow, December 6th, in both Warzone and Modern Warfare III. If you’d like a deeper look at what’s coming for all of the above, and it’s a ton of stuff, click here to check out the official CoD Blog.
