The new year will bring a five-pack of new series’ from Oni Press, serving up horror, thrillers, and some sword and sorcery.
Things to come
Has there been a better time in indie comics than the last few months? It seems like between revived licenses and original content, the second-half of the industry is where the real action is for comic book fans. And right there with a bunch of new books aimed for 2024 is Oni Press.
We actually just brought you news about Oni picking up Nacelleverse and its heroes and villains for a string of original miniseries’, but today’s reveals are a little bit different. A part of the company’s NYCC 2023 unveilings, Oni’s latest updates include all original stories, covering a pretty wide array of genres.
First up, and technically closing out this year, will be a book titled Invasive. That’s more or less what it sounds like, and will present a “terrifying new experiment in surgical horror from Eisner Award nominee Cullen Bunn”, according to the press release. No stranger to horror, Bunn will be joined by artist Jesús Hervás for the tale, which you’ll find in stores this December.
Past that though, 2024 will begin with a bang, with a new comic debuting in stores every month.
