Unbox the new Amazing Spider-Man and Lizard diorama, with Sideshow

Delving back into the universe of The Amazing Spider-Man is Hot Toys, with a new Spidey and Lizard diorama piece.

Amazing

While the universe itself seems a bit lifeless in the wake of No Way Home, The Amazing Spider-Man is still getting some love from Hot Toys. The collectible company has a great looking new pair of offerings, that should go great together… even though the aesthetics don’t quite match up.

First off, is a new web-head in the mold of actor Andrew Garfield’s version of the hero. Cast in his costume as seen in TASM2 and the aforementioned NWH, Garfield’s Spider-Man costume is still one of the coolest big screen translations, and looks great here in figure form.

Add to that a slick diorama piece that features Spider-Man’s nemesis from the first movie in the set, The Lizard, and you have a fantastic combo.

Here’s Sideshow’s unboxing of the pair:

  • Based on Peter Parker / Spider-Man’s appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man 2The Amazing Spider-Man 1/6 Scale Figure by Hot Toys features a hand-painted Peter Parker headsculpt with stunning likeness of Andrew Garfield, plus a swap-out masked headsculpt. This highly articulated deluxe action figure is dressed in a beautifully tailored recreation of Spider-Man’s classic red and blue suit, and comes with a variety of accessories including a Spider-Man mask, assorted spider-web effects, and more!
  • Inspired by Spider-Man: No Way Home, the highly detailed Lizard Diorama Base depicts Lizard surrounded by Electro’s yellow lightning strike effects. This dramatic diorama also comes with a Lizard antidote accessory.

As you can see above, both of these pieces are not only about to ship out, but have been added to Sideshow’s waitlist feature. Unlike with a good chunk of the stuff sold via the company, both of these are technically sold out. That doesn’t mean they’ll never come back into stock though, hence the waiting list.

Both the new The Amazing Spider-Man figure and the Lizard Base are set to ship before the end of the year, with the former priced in at $290 USD, and the latter at $165.
