King Harley Race makes his WWE 2K23 debut, in new DLC pack

A five-pack of new wrestlers have made their way to WWE 2K23 today, with the Race to NXT pack which includes the King of Wrestling, Harley Race.

Bow down

The very first US champ, King of the Ring, and WWE Hall of Famer Harley Race is finally in WWE 2K23. The sole representative of the Legends category to grace the latest DLC pack for the game, Race is a true icon from wrestling history and a very welcome roster member.

Past him, the pack gets into not just the present of the WWE, but its future thanks to an emphasis on NXT. Also in the digital box are a whole mess of new moves and taunts, which of course can all be brought over to your custom superstars via the game’s creation suite.

Here’s what you get in pack #3:

The Race to NXT Pack is headlined by Harley Race, a WWE Hall of Famer, the first-ever United States Champion, former King of the Ring, and widely acknowledged as one of the toughest competitors to ever step into the squared circle, making his WWE 2K franchise debut. Race is joined by four rising NXT Superstars also making their franchise debuts: Tony D’Angelo, the tough as nails leader of “The Family,” Ivy Nile, the powerhouse female face of Diamond Mine, Wendy Choo, the perpetually tired fan-favorite, and Trick Williams the brash right-hand man to NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes. These Superstars bring more than 50 new moves and taunts into the game, which can also be used for custom Superstars in the creation suite. Each playable Superstar also comes with their own MyFACTION card, and DLC is available for individual purchase, or as part of Season Pass***Deluxe Edition, and Icon Edition of WWE 2K23.

On top of all of that, there’s also an update to the MyFACTION mode to talk about. Taking place through June 21st, players will be able to take part in a battle between The Island and The Dungeon.

That’s exactly what it sounds like, and pits the members of the now-dominant Anoaʻi wrestling family against the legendary Harts. Playing and winning will net fans an Amethyst Solo Sikoa card. Along the same lines, and definitely worth mentioning as well, is that the “Amethyst” Token Market will also be opening on June 16th, and a “WWE SuperCard themed Live Event rewarding an Amethyst Ricochet card” will kick off on the 17th.

Want more? How about the Money In The Bank “Cash-In Collective” event on the 23rd, which can net you an Amethyst Eddie Guerrero card? And speaking of, the Faction Wars ladder is set to serve up additional challenges to players on that same date (the 23rd).

***Season Pass available for individual purchase or included in Icon Edition and Deluxe Edition. Players who purchase the Icon Edition or Deluxe Edition will automatically have access to Season Pass and each DLC pack as they become available.
