Celebrating 100 years of Warner Bros, Hot Toys creates some unique DC movie variants

A century in the can, Warner Bros is in a celebratory mood. For that matter, so’s Hot Toys, with some pretty great-looking DC figures lined up.

If you’re looking for unique…

It’s almost hard to believe that the WB has been around for a 100 years. Yet that is indeed the case, as the entertainment giant was founded way back in 1923. Of course, back then it wasn’t exactly Batman and Wonder Woman that the company was bringing to the silver screen, but a lot can change in a century.

Now known as Warner Bros Discovery, it’s exactly those heroes that are some of the studio’s biggest and most important properties. And thanks to one of the many licensing deals that it owns, there’s a pretty neat line of celebratory products on the horizon.

That comes in the form of a small series of figures from Hot Toys, and will includes both Batman from the Nolan film trilogy, and Wonder Woman from the Snyderverse original. But these aren’t the versions that you might be used to, since Hot Toys has some awesome color variations planned.

As you’ll see, that’s especially true for the Dark Knight, who’s now sporting a much more ‘comics accurate’ colorway. A note though, before you scroll down, because you should be aware that these two figures will be produced in a “low edition size”.

How many will it be? That, we do not know, but probably needless to say is that, if you want one, you might want to hit the links and RSVP to get an email for when they go on sale.

Speaking of, that’ll be Friday, June the 9th, exclusively on Sideshow Toys’ online shop.

Wonder Woman

Beautiful as Aphrodite, wise as Athena, swifter than Hermes, and stronger than Hercules, Princess Diana of Themyscira is a beacon of hope to all who find themselves in need.

To celebrate Warner Bros.’ remarkable achievements in the past century, Hot Toys proudly presents the Warner Bros. 100th Anniversary Wonder Woman 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure. Drawing inspiration from Wonder Woman’s appearance in the pages of classic comic books, this new figure features a stunning hand-painted headsculpt with dark brown woolen fiber hair, a silicone body with enhanced articulation in the waist, an armored chest plate, and a blue gladiator-style skirt with gold accents.

Accessories include a detachable tiara, an engraved sword and a shield, as well as her iconic Bracelets of Submission and Lasso of Truth. The figure also includes a specially designed figure display stand and character backdrop.

Batman

Over the decades, Batman has worn many iterations of his suit, but his classic comic book attire — featuring a yellow utility belt, a gray suit, and blue accents for the cowl, gloves, and boots — is always a fan favorite.

This new Warner Bros. 100th Anniversary Batman 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure features a cowled head with interchangeable lower face plates and separate rolling eyeballs to enable collectors to adjust the character’s gaze and facial expression. The classic comic book aesthetic has been brought to life with a unique Batsuit in metallic blue and matte gray coloring.

Batman’s accessories include a fabric cape, an LED light-up EMP rifle, a sticky bomb gun, a grapple gun, Batarangs, and mini mines. A detailed and elaborate figure display stand featuring a swarm of bats and a Bat emblem is also included.

RSVP now to be alerted when the ultra-limited edition Warner Bros. 100th Anniversary Batman 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure goes up for pre-order at Sideshow.com!
