Nintendo Download: Stuck in a Loop

The boys of summer arrive on Switch with Super Mega Baseball 4, along with Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection, and Loop8: Summer of Gods.

Role-playing aplenty

Do you like RPG’s? If you do, then you might be in for a pretty big treat this week on Switch. Nintendo’s platform gets not only an interesting sounding new title with Loop8, but also a collection of some fan-favorites with Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection.

You’re no doubt familiar with that name, since Etrian has been around since 2007. And if you’re fancying a stroll through memory-dungeon, then you might want to grab this new Switch Collection of the first 3 games in the series.

If, however, you’re more in the mood for something new, then it could be that Loop8: Summer of Gods is for you. Set in rural Japan back in the 1980s, Loop8 is a tale of spirits, both evil and good, set against the backdrop of life in a small town. Interesting stuff, from the sound of it.

On the complete opposite end of the spectrum though, is Super Mega Baseball 4. A purely arcade-like hardball title, this new game tasks players with creating a team from some 200 classic real-world stars, and dominating the league. Could be a fun one.

As for the usually deep list of smaller releases, there are plenty of those too. And they actually include a true classic as well, in the form of arcade title Rolling Thunder 2.
