Sun’s out, buns/guns out, it’s Udon’s Street Fighter Swimsuit Special

Forget fighting, the World Warriors are ready for their yearly fun in the sun, thanks to Udon. The Street Fighter Swimsuit Special is coming up.

See you poolside

Yep, it’s back. Udon’s (sorta) yearly Street Fighter Swimsuit Special has returned for another go. And as usual, this issue is going to packed with pinups, all of which will feature your favorite fighting game crew.

While they won’t be knocking each other around (much), they will be lounging around, and engaging in all manner of summertime fun. With the release of Street Fighter 6 on the horizon as well, you can expect a nice mix of old and new heroes and villains.

And since this is Udon we’re talking about here, you can also expect some stellar artwork, from some big names. On that end too, we have a few cover-reveals to… reveal.

This issue’s main cover features UDONstore.com Variant Exclusive artist REIQ with his first-ever regular cover art, and it will be available in all comic book shops! Norasuko turns in an amazing themed cover with our wrestling fighters Rainbow Mika and Marisa, and UDON mainstay Panzer offers up an incredible 1-in-5 variant cover featuring Kimberly and Ibuki! Plus two-dozen interior pin-up illustrations featuring artwork from UDON artists and friends of the studio including Genzoman, Andrea Cofrancesco, Chamba, Conto, Keenbiscuit, Edwin Huang, and many, many more!

Udon press release

So when can you expect this 32 page, sun-soaked book to hit stands? That’d be July 19th, 2023. You’ll be able to nab a copy for yourself vis local comics shops, as well as Udonstore.com, the publisher’s online shop.

Oh, and don’t forget that Street Fighter 6 (the video game) lands for consoles and the PC a little more than a month before the Swimsuit Special, on June 2nd.
