The 15 year history of Assassin’s Creed comes to life in Dark Horse’s latest reveal

Ubisoft’s arguably biggest franchise is 15 years old, and Dark Horse is set to celebrate with The Making of Assassin’s Creed: 15th Anniversary Edition.

All the way back to Altair

There’ve been more than a couple of books based on Assassin’s Creed over the years since its debut. A few of those have been quite good too, delving into the rich history of the game’s stories and characters. What there hasn’t been though, is a book like The Making of Assassin’s Creed: 15th Anniversary Edition.

Freshly announced by Dark Horse Books, The Making of Assassin’s Creed: 15th Anniversary Edition talks about the actual, real-world story of the series, and the games therein.

In celebration of Assassin’s Creed’s 15-year anniversary, Ubisoft and Dark Horse Books have teamed up to create an extensive examination into the creation of the series that sold over 200 million games worldwide. Featuring gorgeous art from over a decade-and-a-half of development, and detailed interviews with the games’ past and present creators, this is the perfect companion piece for any aspiring member of the Brotherhood.

Dark Horse Books press release

Along with the base version, there’s also going to be a Deluxe Edition. A hardcover presentation, the Deluxe will sport a unique cover, as well as “a protective slipcase, and a folio containing two gallery-quality lithograph prints.”

Both versions will be out days and date, landing on June 20th, 2023 in bookstores, and on the 21st in comic shops. As always, Dark Horse has advance pre-orders up right now, via AmazonBarnes & Noble, or your local comic shop.
