NYCC 22: Vault’s panel, signings, and show exclusives announced

One of the larger indie publishers, Vault Comics has laid out its schedule for NYCC, which includes a panel, plus in-booth signings and merch.

Vaulting into Comic Con

It’s still kind of hard to believe that we’re right on the edge of the first NYCC since 2019, but that’s exactly what we’re looking at with October’s Con. As the show gets back to normal, so does the guest list. And that means lots and lots of panels and autograph signings.

For it’s part, Vault Comics will have a full slate, with a panel, plus signings every day of the Con. That’s in addition to a very nice looking collection of show exclusives, which you’ll find at the booth itself.

That merchandise will include two special covers for the upcoming Nightfall: Double Feature. The book sports two times the horror, so two covers make perfect sense, with one depicting a corrupted Statue of Liberty by Josh Hixon, and the other with “the hungry maw of The Brooklyn Bridge” by Chris Shehan.

In addition to the above, trade paperbacks for T.H.E.R.U.S.H, Human Remains, and The Last Book You’ll Ever Read will also be on hand to take home. And that’s aside from a limited edition pin set celebrating the five-year anniversary of Vault. There’ll only be 300 of those made up, so if you want one, get yourself to booth #1968 as soon as possible.

Speaking of, there’s also a pretty slick little show scheduled for the Vault booth. That will have one John J Pearson of Mindset and Department of Truth fame, as he paints live and in person. Look for that Friday through Sunday from 2-3pm (eastern of course).

Oh and the signings too!

While we’re looking at in-booth happenings, there’s also a set of signings to check out. Those will all be in the booth itself, and will include:

  • Thursday:
    • Nathan Gooden (Artist: Barbaric, Dark One)  at 5 PM
  • Friday:
    • Cavan Scott and Corrin M Howell (Writer & Artist of Shadow Service) at  3PM
    • Maria The Wolf (Cover Artist, Barbaric: The Harvest Blades special cover) at 4PM
    • Brian Schirmer (Writer, Quests Aside) at 5PM
  • Saturday
    • Agnes Garbowska (Artist: Kinzie’s Kingdom)  at 11AM,
    • Zack Kaplan & John J Pearson (Writer and Artist of Mindset) at 3PM
    • Josh Hixson (Cover Artist, Nightfall Double Feature Exclusive Cover) at 4PM
  • Sunday:
    • Dani Colman (Writer, The Unfinished Corner) at 11 AM
    • Nathan Gooden (Artist: Barbaric, Dark One)  at 2PM

Don’t forget that panel

And last but certainly not least is the panel presentation. Also in celebration of the company’s fifth year, the panel will be on Sunday, October 9th. It’ll run about an hour and is scheduled from 12:15pm to 1:15pm (also eastern time) in room 406.1.

As their five year anniversary comes to a close, Vault Comics is looking forward to what’s next! Join Vault’s co-founders (Nathan Gooden, Senior Artist and Adrian Wassel, Editor-In-Chief) for a look ahead at new imprints, new series, and new talent announcements for 2023 and beyond!

Vault says there will be some surprises at the panel too, so if you’re a fan make sure to get it on your schedule.
