Nintendo returning to the Treehouse tomorrow for Splatoon 3 talk

Get ready for a little more Splatoon 3. Nintendo is heading back to the old Treehouse for that, plus the reveal of Harvestella, Square Enix’ newest.

That’s a heck of a name there

If you read BG regularly, and you’re familiar with Nintendo’s Directs and Treehouses, then you already know what to expect from this article. That’s to say, not much. Nintendo is shockingly tight-lipped about these things, dropping only a few hints as to what fans can expect.

This one is no exception, with just a general outline for what you’ll be seeing in the Treehouse once again revealed. There is a bit of a ‘but’ though, in that there’s a surprising tidbit included.

First, yes you can expect Splatoon 3 talk, and all together there’ll be two segments on the game in the show. Nintendo promises “a deep dive into the all-new Splatoon 3 single-player mode, and an overview of stages and strategies for the upcoming Splatfest World Premiere demo”.

But while that’s all well and good, there’s also a third segment. And it’s not what you might be expecting, as it’s not Splatoon related at all. In fact, it’s set to cover a Square Enix game.

That title is none other than Harvestella, a brand new RPG from the publisher. We don’t have anything to go off of about the game, so there isn’t anything we can tell you yet, though we do know that you’ll be able to see actual gameplay in the Treehouse.

So even if you’re not into Splatoon, you might want to tune into the show. It kicks off at 9:30am pacific time, tomorrow, August 25th, 2022. You can check it out via the player below at that time, or hit this link for the official Nintendo host page.
