Starship Troopers – Terran Command nudged back to June

The latest stab at adapting Robert Heinlein’s classic Starship Troopers has been pushed back a tad. The game’s delayed from this month to June.

I’m doing my part!

To put it mildly, Robert A. Heinlein is a legend. The writer has penned a series of sci-fi classic novels, and that includes Starship Troopers. A property that screams movies, comics, games, and just about everything else, Starship Troopers has somehow seen almost none of that.

Maybe most puzzling is the lack of video games though. ST would lend itself to a couple of genres there, and yet there’s been almost no interest over the years. Well, fast-forward to this year and Slitherine Games and The Aristocrats have got that angle covered.

Starship Troopers – Terran Command is a strategy title that puts players on the battlefields of the future. With the bugs in their sights, gamers take command of Terran forces as a commander.

If you’ve been waiting patiently, you’re going to have to hang on just a bit longer. This week the game was officially delayed from March 31st, to June 16th, 2022. It’s not a huge delay for sure, and there’s a reason for that since the game’s basically done.

According to the press release, Terran Command is “content complete”. That meaning that the game’s content is done, and the newly-scheduled time will be used to polish what’s already in place.

So basically, stay tuned, because the war against the bugs isn’t far off now.
