Classic 80s IP Robo Force on the way back thanks to The Nacelle Company

A popular toy line and cartoon from the 1980’s, Robo Force has been dormant for a long time. But thanks to The Nacelle Company, it’s back.

Max Steel

If you were a kid back in the early 80s, you likely have a memory about Robo Force. From Ideal, Robo Force hit stores (and TV sets) in 1984, bringing tales of heroic and villainous robots to life. If that sounds vaguely familiar, it’s likely because another little toy line/cartoon about battling ‘bots debuted that same year. Yep, Hasbro’s Transformers.

But while that latter property is legendary at this point, Robo Force still holds plenty of rose-colored, nostalgia for fans. And if you’re in that lot, then you might be happy to know that it’s back.

Resurrected once or twice since it ran its original-course decades ago, Robo Force is this time hailing from The Nacelle Company. That’s the same studio that created The Toys That Made Us, Netflix’ hit show about the toys from yesteryear.

The new figures will be a sight different from the old ones. Gone will be the suction cup bases (don’t ask), and action features. In their place will be a fully-articulated action figure line, with plenty of detailing and what looks to be weaponry.

The figures will officially be a part of TNC’s Very Important Toy Line, and clock in at 7.5″. Expect collector-friendly, fully illustrated window boxes as well. They’ll be posted for pre-order on NacelleStore.com, this April the 22nd. So get ready to make with the clicking.

As a side-note, The Nacelle Company has scooped up a few other lost 80s lines in recent years. So stay tuned for news about Power Lords, The Great Garloo, Big Loo, and the Marx Toys brand some time soon.
