Ablaze expands Cimmerian universe with Belit & Valeria

Unleashing a pair of dangerous women on the Hyborian world, publisher Ablaze is set to debut a book starring Robert E. Howard’s Bêlit & Valeria.

You getting some Xena vibes?

One of the many things that Conan’s tales are pretty well known for are the female characters that often accompany him. Two of the biggest names there, have to be both Bêlit and Valeria.

Readers of the Ablaze’s own The Cimmerian book should instantly recognize them, as the women featured in a pair of stories in that book. Where this new title sounds like it’ll be differing from The Cimmerian though, is that it will feature brand new tales.

But don’t worry as this also looks like it’ll be taking place in the same Cimmerian universe. And of course, also featuring characters you know, and locations you’ll recognize.

Rising from a watery grave, Belit once again finds herself commanding a ship, sailing the seas in search of adventure…and answers. But when a deal goes wrong, she finds herself teamed up with the woman she was holding prisoner: the equally beautiful and deadly, Valeria.

These two iconic characters will find themselves traveling across Hyperborea on a mission to find out how Belit lives once again that will lead them straight into danger…from the gods themselves! Bonus material includes the original Robert E. Howard essay, “The Hyborian Age.”
