The decadent Chaos god Slaanesh stars in the latest look at Total War: Warhammer III

Rounding out the roster of Chaos gods, Slaanesh is the latest army to feature in the trailers for Sega and Creative Assembly’s Total War: Warhammer III.

That’s uh… yeah

Typically the naughtiest miniatures on the wargaming table, the Chaos god Slaanesh’s forces are on the way to Creative Assembly’s third Total War: Warhammer title. And from the looks of it, the army will be just as faithful to the source material as Nurgle, Khorne, and Tzeentch’s.

Slaanesh generals will find themselves in control of N’Kari, the Arch-Temptor. The greater daemon is as fast as he is nasty, and can nail “isolated units” with haste. He also has the “Harvester of Souls” power, which heals his wounds as time passes.

Very much like N’Kari himself, the Slaanesh daemons themselves are lethally quick.

Slaanesh play mechanics include:

  • Gifts of Slaanesh: Lords and Heroes of Slaanesh can impart gifts on enemy characters by defeating them in battle or through hero actions, thus imposing a bundle of negative effects on the unit.
  • Seduction: By increasing seductive influence, the forces of Slaanesh can forcibly vassalise a target faction.
  • Devotees: Slaaneshi armies can capture Devotees from battles, from Chaos cults, and though other acts. Devotees are used for creating cults, the raising of Disciple Armies, and to create vassals.

Slaanesh joins the fray in Total War: Warhammer III, when it arrives on the PC this February 17th, 2022.
