Another impressive crossover character will be joining the roster of Bandai Namco’s Soul Calibur VI. From the far-future comes Nier: Automata’s 2B.

From that trailer, I’m a little… confused about just how 2B is supposed to fit into the Soul Calibur VI world. And that’s not to mention how Ivy and the battle android are linked. Is it me, or is it a little confusing? Then again, this is Soul Calibur. Having everything lake perfect sense isn’t exactly necessary.
From what we see here however, 2B is looking good, with a serious amount of firepower. Virtuous Contract and Virtuous Treaty are the names of her twin swords, and she will indeed have her own stage and musical accompaniment.
As for how she’ll play in the game, it sounds like Soul Calibur fans are in for a fast fighter, with plenty of arial moves. Bandai Namco says that 2B will employ ” acrobatic leaps and mid-air slashes, lightning-fast evasions and perfectly coordinated strikes.” Speed and precision then. Maybe not the best character for newbies. Fortunately, there are plenty of other fighters on the roster of Soul Calibur VI, if 2B isn’t your bag.
The game is out right now for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC (on Steam).
