Dark Horse Comics might be producing Call of Duty comics, but there’s a new series coming from Activision itself. And this one’s free.

The Black Ops “universe” is the focal point of Activision and developer Treyarch’s newest entry in the CoD series. But that’s not where the story is stopping. The Publisher is also producing a ten issue long comic book series based on the property.
The series is available for free in online format, and has a solid slate of talent behind it. Included are writers and artists like “Greg Rucka, Chris Roberson, Jeremy Barlow, K.A. McDonald, Aaron Duran, Matthew Robinson and Tony Shasteen”. Maybe even more impressive is the list of cover artists. That roster includes “Adam Hughes, Eric Wilkerson, Kirbi Fagan, Dan Dos Santos and Julian Totino Tedesco”.

The first three issues have indeed hit, though there’s no announced timetable for the remaining seven. Check them out here. One thing we know very well though, is that the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 video game is landing on October the 12th, for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
