You just can’t keep a good Dark Lord of the Sith down. Darth Vader is back with a fresh ongoing series from Marvel.
Number one with a saber
Yes, it’s another number one issue from Marvel Comics. Though if you’re a fa of either one of the big two, that should come as no surprise. This one though, is a bit different than the usual relaunch that the publisher indulges in.
That’s because this book doesn’t just change a few elements and start the run over again. No, Darth Vader #1 takes things back, way back. And I mean that as in all the way back to the character’s origin. That’s right, this is an origin story.
The first arc picks up at the start of the galactic civil war. From there, Darth Vader will chronicle Anakin Skywalker’s rise to power as Palpatine’s favored pupil. That includes, by the way, content from the prequel films and Star Wars Rebels, the TV series.
Watch for the first issue of the new book on the stands this June the 6th.
