Mass Effect Andromeda release date leaked?

Thanks to a listing on Amazon for the Dark Horse published art book for the game, we might have a tentative release date for the next game in the Mass Effect series.

Mass Effect could begin again next Spring

Mass Effect is a name that sits well with the majority of the gaming public. The action/role-playing series from EA and BioWare was a massive hit on last-gen consoles after all. And so a new trilogy has been more than a little anticipated. Not long ago, we learned that the first title in that (possible) new series would be Mass Effect Andromeda. And that’s about all we learned… till now.

Dark Horse Comics is working on an art book to go along with MEA. In fact, the tome is launching right alongside the game, according to the listing on Amazon, which was noted by website Destructoid. See where this is heading?

In what can only be a slip-up, Amazon published the release date of that art book as March 21st 2017. So if the game and the book are supposed to hit stores at the same time, then it’s more than reasonable to assume that that date will be roughly one and the same. Though of course, there might be a few days between ’em, meaning the book and the game.

Till there’s some official word, all this should be taken with a grain of salt. As definite as it sounds right now, it’s still not official till we hear it from EA. Though, if I had to wager a guess, I’d say that late March is probably the date that gamers will be looking towards for Andromeda.
