“Set in a world as iconic as it is visually stunning, with one of the most compelling and unique protagonists in popular culture, Mirror’s Edge is tailor made for great comics,” said Dark Horse senior editor Dave Marshall. “It’s an awesome opportunity to be able to kick off our partnership with DICE with this series!”
A fan favorite of a franchise, with a second game on the way soon and now a comic series, Mirror’s Edge is certainly riding more than a little bit high at the moment. The all-new limited run series (6 issues) will chronicle the life of Faith before the games began.
Starting it’s run this September, Mirror’s Edge: Exordium gives fans of the game a little more backstory on the lead character, delving into her origin story. The best part? It comes off the pen of none other than Christofer Emgård, who is the narrative director at DICE, the game’s developer. And the artwork of the series will ring true for gamers as well, since it also comes from Emgård, as well as Mattias Häggström, Robert Sammelin, Henrik Sahlström, and Erik Persson – all people involved with the development of the new game in the series Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst.
One not to be missed for anyone looking forward to Catalyst, which by the way, has a tentative release set for early next year.
