Konami slashes price tag for Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes

If you’ve held off on diving into Big Boss’ pre-The Phantom Pain adventure, maybe this will change your mind.

Konami has officially announced that all retail boxed editions (not the digital download versions) of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will now carry a price tag of $19.99 USD. Launching earlier this year, the short, but seriously impactful, prolog to the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain sets the stage for what’s to come nicely with a real taste for what that latter game will be like.

Yes, it’s definitely the case that Ground Zeroes is kind of limited in scope, but what it does it does very well. You’ll get a feel for what Konami and developer Kojima Productions is doing here and get to see the FOX Engine in action, which is a nicely in and of itself (it’s really pretty you see). And though there aren’t a ton of things to do in the game, you do have complete freedom to act as you see fit, engage enemy soldiers how you like, and generally complete the mission (there’s only one really included in the game) by any means necessary.

And at $19.99 USD, the purchase seem alike kind of a no-brainer for big time series fans too. You can grab a copy right now for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360.
