The digital comics platform has a brand new slate of ebooks featuring Guided View Native technology. Reading digital comics has never been so intuitive.
You probably best know the term ‘guided view’ where it concerns e-comic books from recent releases like Marvel’s Wolverine: Japan’s Most Wanted and DC Comics’ Batman ’66 series’. Basically, the technology allows for a more seamless reading experience in the digital arena by, well, guiding your view from panel to panel.
ComiXology has supported this right from the start, but now the company has expanded it’s list of available books that natively take advantage of Guided View and is really making a push for the mechanic. It’s probably the way that comic fans would like it since, while reading a book digitally isn’t an inferior experience by any means, it’s all that much better since it highlights big moments and really helps accentuate the action.
You can find comiXology’s slate of titles that support the technology here, but that’s far from all that the company will be showing off at the New York Comic Con this week in NYC. With 200 million downloads in the books (and yes, that’s a lot of downloads) the premier digital comics platform is just getting started.
Here’s the full listing of what you can find both the comiXology booth (#1928) at the Jacob Javits convention center this week and on the comiXology app. Special sales and all-new offerings abound:
