Mechwarrior Online gets a Dragon Slayer

The Dragon Slayer mech is mighty impressive and to say it’s heavily armed might just be the understatement of the year.

Just added to Piranha Games’ free-to-play online shooter, the Dragon Slayer mech is absolutely loaded for action and is available now as a part of the latest update for the game. Also available now is the preorder for the Project Phoenix pack, which adds in a quartet of new bots for use- all of which look sufficiently awesome.

That’s not all though, as a host of new additions and tweaks were also added this past week, including:

Today’s new content also delivers new cockpit statues for the Trebuchet and Jagermech, the new “Tartan” pattern for the more Scottish-inclined players and overall gameplay enhancements. One of the smallest changes is also quite significant: Voice commands have changed all references of “Team Commander” to “Company Commander” indicating fans are one step closer to the long-awaited 12 vs. 12 player combat. Scheduled to go live soon, 12 vs. 12 player combat will change the game forever making this a perfect time to get in the game and get ramped up.
