The ultimate collection of all things Metal Gear Solid has a release date, better dig out that sneaking suit.
Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection includes pretty much every Metal Gear game in the history of the franchise (which is a lot) and then some.
In all, you get:
METAL GEAR SOLID, METAL GEAR SOLID 2: HD Edition, METAL GEAR SOLID 3: HD Edition (which includes the original MSX versions of METAL GEAR and METAL GEAR 2), METAL GEAR SOLID: Peace Walker HD Edition, METAL GEAR SOLID: VR MISSIONS, METAL GEAR SOLID 4: Trophy Edition and two Ashley Wood digital graphic novels which will be released for the first time in North America
And if all that wasn’t enough Solid Snake for you, you also get a 100 page art book filled with marketing materials from around the world that spans the entire 25 year history of the franchise. Now that’s one big pile of content for Metal heads to add to their collections. Just to make things even more tempting for fans, publisher Konami has also announced that Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection will cost a measly $49.99 USD.
Look for it on store shelves, exclusively for the PS3, on July 9th. Why a PS3 exclusive? Because if you were going to put all this on standard DVD’s you’d need about 8 of them. Yow.
