Games Workshop signs new deal

Roadhouse Interactive has just signed on to craft a mobile Space Marine title for smartphones and tablets.

“The work we have seen to-date from Roadhouse makes us extremely confident that this new mobile title will be a fantastic addition to the range of digital games we are building,” Games Workshop’s head of licensing Jon Gillard stated.

The game will be a side-scrolling action affair taking place in the Warhammer 40K, gothic/sci-fi universe. There’s really nothing else to report on the title, but I’m sure we’ll find out plenty more soon as Games Workshop continues its developer signing onslaught.

In the last nine months, GW has inked no less than eight studios to make games based on the Warhammer properties. At this rate, 2014 might have a Warhammer game a month on its release schedule. And that’s probably something that longtime fans wouldn’t mind seeing in the least.
