Marvel teases at Punisher/Elektra

From the looks of the latest Marvel Comics teaser image, Daredevil isn’t going to be too happy.

It’s been a while since I’ve read a Daredevil book (or anything with Elektra in it really), but I do know that the female assassin and the Man Without Fear have a… ‘thing’.

Frank Castle (otherwise known as the brutal vigilante called The Punisher) on the other hand, has always had a contemptuous relationship (to say the least) with the masked hero. And I’m not sure if he’s ever gotten all that close with Elektra before.

All that back history should make for one interesting tale to tell when whatever Daniel Way and Phil Noto have cooking in this teaser image hits stands this March.

I’ll say one thing for Marvel NOW!- it ain’t dull.

About Jason

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.

  1. I needed to write you one tiny observation to be able to thank you so much the moment again just for the lovely tricks you have featured in this article. This has been certainly particularly open-handed with you to convey unhampered precisely what numerous people would’ve sold as an e book to earn some dough for their own end, most notably considering that you might well have tried it in the event you decided. These good ideas as well acted as a great way to be certain that the rest have the identical fervor much like my personal own to realize very much more with respect to this problem. I am sure there are several more pleasant sessions ahead for individuals who check out your site.

  2. Daredevil and Elektra being together never made any sense. I mean someone who is lawyer, believes in the law to the letter (anyone who’s a Punisher fan knows his speeches on that by heart) being with someone who will kill without a seconds thought and slice them to pieces… it’s one of many Marvel pairings that was idiotic from the start. But whatever happens between the Punisher and Elektra… it just needs to be sex and nothing more.

The last time they did that was back in 2003 in The Punisher, issue #27 under the Marvel Knights banner and he says to her, “You want to have dinner tomorrow night?”

Nothing was seen but I doubt they would actually wasted there time going out to dinner at some restaurant.

  3. Yeah I’m not crazy about Punisher being paired off with anybody. It just doesn’t fit for the character IMO. And Elektra… meh.

  4. There’s nothing wrong with the Punisher having some sex here and there, but it has to be with certain women like Elektra who are tough, a bit insane and damaged, “Damaged goods, no doubt about it. Likes killing people. Completely insane. Never thought I’d meet anyone quite like her. About to take my life in my hands. Then again, I do that every day.”

He did that with Kathryn O’Brien in the MAX Punisher
    “You cold?”
    “No.”
    “You lonely?”
    “No.”
“You want to jump my bones anyway?”
    “Sure.”

Elektra is the only female character in the Marvel Universe that I would want the Punisher to team-up with and have sex with. But those who complain about a character getting some, half the time it comes from dumb teenagers or 20 year olds who are not getting any…

  5. Daredevil always has to be brought up whenever Elektra is seen or talked about… well I’ve got to admit, I really like the idea of this pairing. Honestly, the kind of life’s work Frank has devoted himself too would put just about any woman in the Marvel universe in harm’s way… Except for Elektra. And seriously, what woman other than her would even come close to being able to understand Frank’s kind of war on crime? It makes so much sense to me; I’m surprised this hasn’t happened sooner. Seriously… this just fits to me.

Any other woman would put Frank in the position of feeling like he had to give up his life’s mission either because she didn’t understand/couldn’t accept the violence and bloodshed, or because the kind of war he wages on crime would bring all the scum to her front doorstep endangering her. Not so with Elektra… she is the only woman who not only could tolerate Frank’s life, but also enrich it by getting involved in all its aspects.

  6. He’s not being paired off with her… it’s just sex… lust. Get over it. Users “Mac” and “TheOthers” already proved it when the character said it him self perfectly in 2003 about her. If the Punisher was going to do this with a known female character… well then, Elektra is perfect for him. He’s done that before with Kathryn O’Brien (twice), but that was because they had nothing better to do.

He makes it clear on what his thoughts are between them.

Jenny Cesare in the Max Punisher, but she had a very, very personal reason for that.

Sorry Jason (not really)… but it does fit the character, even Garth Ennis thought so. Don’t state something you can’t prove.
