Infinity War might be all the rage now, but Marvel’s next big flick is well on the way. Ant-Man and the Wasp is seen to hit theaters next month, and the first full trailer for the size-changing action film has finally arrived.
Pretty cool seeing Wasp in action there, alongside Ant-Man. It’s a classic pairing in the comics, though not quite in this way. Of course, Marvel’s comic book universe usually has had the Hank Pym Ant-Man teaming with the Janet Van Dyne Wasp.
That’s not the duo that we see in action here, though both of those characters are in the upcoming film as well. Michael Douglas returns once again to play the aged Pym, while Michelle Pfeiffer steps into the boots of Van Dyne. That’s kind of cool inane of itself since this isn’t Pfeiffer’s first comic book film. She famously played Catwoman in Tim Burton’s Batman Returns.
Also interesting is that this movie takes place, chronologically, before Infinity War. So if you saw Marvel’s current blockbuster, Ant-Man and the Wasp should fill in some gaps and answer some questions.
And again, this one is coming up fast. Ant-Man and the Wasp heads to theaters on June 6th. It’s the penultimate Marvel film of 2018 too, with only the 90s-set Captain Marvel yet to come.
