Marvel Minimates get strange

Dr.Strange headlines a ‘Strange Tales’ four pack that also includes Marvel heavy hitters Morbius, Blade, and the Werewolf by Night.

The pack definitely lives up the the Strange Tales name.

Aside from being loaded with some of Marvel Comics’ most supernatural characters, it’s also got first appearance Blade. Long before the leather and blacked out shades, this is one vampire hunter that’s got his look firmly rooted in the funky ’70s.

Man I love those shades…

Due to arrive in April, the set of four Minimates includes some new, character-specific accessories, like Blade’s wooden stakes (including one with a throwing effect), a flight base for Morbius, and Dr. Strange’s spell-casting hands. Each Minimate stands 2 inches tall and has 14 points of articulation to re-create all of the classic Marvel covers of the 1970s. Check out the comic-book-inspired packaging below!

Personally, I love these four packs DST puts out. The character choices are always interesting and really fun for collectors who might not pick them all up if they were only included in two packs. I probably wouldn’t go out of my way for a Werewolf by Night Minimate, but he’s pretty cool and I’ll be happy to take one along with the other three.

Prepare to get Strange, the Strange Tales pack hits comic shops this April.
