NYCC ’24: Marvel, DC, movie characters and the Rumble Society all headline for Mezco

There wasn’t a ton of new stuff on hand in the Mezco booth at NYCC 2024, but the One:12 Collective made an impact anyway.

Deep

At this point, ‘deep’ is the word that we’d use when referring to Mezco’s One:12 Collective. The collector-centric toy line started years ago, offering up a series of high-end action figures that feature a mix of plastic and soft-goods, creating a kind of modern take on the classic Mego line.

Like that iconic series of toys, the One:12 Collective includes both Marvel Comics and DC characters, cast in largely the same style and form. Going one step further though, One:12 has brought in indie comic heroes and villains, movie characters, and most recently a wholly original property with The Rumble Society.

A good chunk of all of that, both past and present, was on display at the big Con this past weekend. Now, most of that display was comprised of older releases, but there were a few new ones to see too. Those included Beetlejuice, Indiana Jones, Samurai Jack, Marvel Comics’ Thor, a new take on Captain America, and that awesome Doctor Octopus.

While that’s the license stuff, The Rumble Society display included the following:

Five Points too

5 Points is another of Mezco’s lines, and while it doesn’t get the accolades that The One:12 Collective does, it’s notable nonetheless. As the name entails, 5 Points includes retro-styled figures that feature five points of articulation.

They’re not quite as limited as many 80s and 90s toy lines though, as 5 Points releases also include swappable parts for display options. There are also vehicles included in the line, with a couple of great looking Batmobiles that were on hand for the show.

Check out some highlights of the display in the gallery below.
