What horrors lay in wait, on Forgive Me Father 2’s Early Access roadmap?

Retro/horror FPS Forgive Me Father’s sequel is officially out in Early Access, and there’s lots more content to come.

Forgiven again… and for a while

For those who played Forgive Me Father, the newly released Early Access version of the sequel was a welcome sight. The horror shooter continues the world of the first installment, dropping players once again into the role of the priest from that original game.

But being that this isn’t the ‘final’ version of the FPS, players of the game in its current state can expect some big changes in the months to come. If you don’t know, “Early Access” games are essentially still in pre-release form, and get constant updates as they head to their eventual retail edition.

In the case of Forgive Me Father 2, developer Byte Barrel and Fulqrum Publishing have released a roadmap that gives an idea of what fans can expect. That includes three major updates, capped off by that aforementioned retail version, which will bulk the title up significantly.

As you look over the above too, you should be aware of a few more notes. For one thing, while there are three big updates listed, that’s not all that there will be. Fulqrum says to expect a bunch of fixes and updates wedged in-between those, as Byte Barrel works to fine tune the game, fix unforeseen issues, and also works in new stuff based on player-feedback (something that they’re encouraging).

Hopefully, and this would be assuming there are now major problems that set the timeline back, the roadmap will result in a full retail launch for the game in February or March of 2024.

Again though, that Early Access version of Forgive Me Father 2 is out right now for the PC and is priced in at $19.99 USD. Fans can grab that via GOG, Steam, or Epic, and can do so today with a 15% off launch discount. And when we say “today”, we mean it, as the discount was for the first few days of sale only.
