Macabre horror adventure Scorn landing on PS5 this October

Arriving just in time to deliver some disturbing Halloween scares, Ebb Software’s Scorn lands on the PS5 this October.

Biomechanical

If you’ve seen Scorn in action, and you probably at least have watched a trailer or two, then you already know all about how creepy it is. Original launched on the PC and Xbox Series X|S last year, Ebb Software’s long-awaited horror title presents a terrifying and disturbing tale of life on a dying alien (?) world.

Now this engrossing first-person story is on the way to Sony’s PS5, and it’s got its timing just about right. Publisher Maximum Games revealed today that players will be able to dig into the creep-out title this October the 3rd, and it’ll come complete with some PS5-exclusive features.

“We are incredibly excited to announce the release date for Scorn on PlayStation 5 and bring our nightmarish experience to a whole new set of players,” said Ljubomir Peklar, game director of Ebb Software. “We’ve taken full advantage of the DualSense’s capabilities to heighten the level of immersion when playing on PlayStation 5. From the haptic feedback of the controller which varies depending on the in-game sound and intensity of the situation to the adaptive triggers which make every tool and weapon feel unique. The introduction of these features take Scorn’s horrors to a whole new level, gripping players in an entirely fresh way.”

Pre-orders? Yep, you bet they’re up, and you can get in on one right now digitally, via the PS5’s shop. Prefer a physical edition? You can get one of those as well, though it doesn’t appear that it’s posted just yet.

An “exclusive physical deluxe edition” is on the way though, and you’ll be able to get it for both the PS5 and Xbox versions. That will come packed with the base title plus a steelbook case, as well as codes for a downloadable art book and soundtrack.
