Trailer: Prime Matter bulks up RTS Crossfire: Legion with more content for Early Access launch

Real-time strategy fans get ready, Crossfire: Legion is set to bring classic RTS action back to the PC. It launches later this month in Early Access.

Caught up in the Crossfire

Crossfire: Legion – the upcoming fast-paced action-packed real-time-strategy game launching in Early Access on May 24 – is giving players even more choice of strategic play and potential battleground dominance with the addition of a massive 24 units and three unique commanders to the battle roster, amounting to a grand total of 45 units and six Commanders available for Early Access launch.

From unique infantry and agile vehicles to defense specialists, transport units, air support, and more – these further units bolster any side and provide even more depth and variety to ultimately deliver unique battle combinations.

Completing the substantial unit increase are three brand new faction commanders – Eclipse (Global Risk), Freefall (Black List), and Viper (New Horizon) – each bringing their own flavor to the battleground and a set of unique skills that can make all the difference in a fight.

Prime Matter press release

In addition to the above, players can expect quite a bit out of Crossfire: Legions as it makes the journey to full retail release. Solo and co-op play will be supported, along with multiplayer across a variety of modes. Apparently too, the game will offer “AI skirmishes”. That certainly sounds like you can start a completely CPU-controlled battle and watch it play out..

And on top of that, it’s also looking like a chunky campaign will be included. That’ll have a total of 4 acts, with act 1 playable right away in this new Early Access edition. Look for the rest loading up at later dates.
