Ghost in the Shell Big Game spot is now online

There isn’t much in this new trailer that you haven’t seen already. But it’s Ghost in the Shell so, you know, it’s still worth a watch.

As usual, this Sunday’s SuperBowl will be loaded with neat commercials for everything from cheap beer to insurance. And you better believe that there’ll be a bunch of movie trailers too. It’s kind of the norm now too, that those trailers hit the web ahead of the boob tube. Case in point, the new Ghost in the Shell trailer.

You’ll find a mixture of old and new footage in this early peek at the Scarlett Johansson starring film. Yep, there’s plenty in here that you’ve no doubt seen already, especially if you’re a big fan of the anime that it’s based on.

There’s also some ‘new’ mixed into this fresh trailer though, and some of that is absolutely incredible looking. Not that I’m a huge fan of the genre, but cyber punk has never looked better. The accuracy to the source material is also commendable. That’s something that fans had been worried about, but it seems like Ghost is going to be doing right by the original.
