Terminator 2: Judgment Day’s iconic T-800 is getting the Hot Toys treatment this year

If you’re anything like us, then you probably know all the classic scens and can recite their lines by heart. Of course, and as you can see, we’re talking about Terminator 2: Judgement Day. The 1991 followup to the 80s original, T2 was an instant hit and went on to become (in)arguably the high point of the Terminator series.

While it got all kinds of merch back then, there’s really only the occasional figure that hits the market these days. So if you’re a big fan of the film, or just Arnold Schwarzenegger in general, then you’re going to want to see what Hot Toys is cooking up for later this very year.

Retailer Sideshow just revealed details for what’ll be a second version of the T-800, Arnold’s iconic heroic android from the film. This being Hot Toys, he’s all kitted out with a movie-accurate sculpt, several possible overall looks, signature shades, weaponry, and even a box of lil’ roses.

Hasta la vista, baby

James Cameron’s hit sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) wowed audiences with groundbreaking CGI and thrilling action sequences. The film brought the return of the T-800 in a new role, tasked with protecting a young John Connor from the T-1000, a relentless assassin with shape-changing abilities. 

Hot Toys is expanding their Terminator 2: Judgment Day line with a new T-800 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure. Sideshow treated fans to an early look at this detailed figure during its Hot Toys Showcase earlier this year, and now this exciting collectible is available to pre-order!

The T-800 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure features a hand-painted headsculpt with a stunning likeness of Arnold Schwarzenegger in the role. Fans can create nuanced poses thanks to Hot Toys’ innovative rolling eyeball design. The figure also comes with 2 styles of interchangeable scalp, allowing collectors to take out the T-800’s CPU from the storage device in his head.

The T-800 wears a tailored outfit with genuine leather jacket, pants, and belt. The figure is highly poseable with 30 points of articulation and includes a variety of swap-out hands, including an additional endoskeleton arm for a myriad of display options.

Ready for his mission, he is equipped with a machine gun, a shotgun, a pistol, a grenade launcher, a set of bullets, and an ammunition belt. Accessories include a pair of sunglasses, a duffle bag, a gift box with roses, and more.
