Wait, another new X-Men team? Yes, but from the looks of it, this one will be shaking up the status quo in the team’s flagship book.
More X
So how much ‘X’ can you handle? Marvel Comics recently did a complete overhaul of the line, ending the so-called Krakoan era and bringing the team back to a more traditional superhero role (kinda). Not that we’re talking about one team, since all the classics are back, including the X-Men, X-Factor, and X-Force, plus others too.

That’s a lot of ‘X’ for sure, and while there mercifully isn’t a new monthly on the way, there is yet another team that’s been teased today as both the “All-New, All-Different X-Men” and the “3K X-Men“. The former clearly harkens back to more Krakoa action and Giant-Sized X-Men #1 , and the latter… might be a reference to the future? Maybe?
So who are these guys and gals? Well, we’ve got a few ideas on one or two, but they all might be completely new (and different) for all we know. All we have assurance on is that the team will make its first appearance in X-Men #16, hailing from the creative team of Jed MacKay and Netho Díaz.
Stay tuned for more information on these startling new group of mutants debuting this May in X-MEN #16 by Jed MacKay, Ryan Stegman and Netho Díaz.
Marvel Comics press release
As you can see in the brief text featured in the press release, you can be sure that there’ll be much more on the 3K X-Men in the weeks to come, as we head towards X-Men #16’s launch on May 7th, 2025. We’ll keep you posted.
