Terror comes to VR with Alien: Rogue Incursion, launching this week

Survios‘ virtual reality take on the iconic Alien franchise is scheduled to hit for VR headsets this week, and has a fresh launch trailer.

Going Rogue

We’ve been talking about Alien: Rogue Incursion for a while now, and there’s a reason. From virtual reality developer Survios, the game looks like it might be a winner. Or at the very least, a fun and cation filled romp through one of the best-loved sci-fi/horror properties around.

Players take upon the role of Zula Hendricks, a former colonial marine who’s gone rogue (hence the title), and taken her synth buddy on a road-trip. This journey isn’t for fun though, as she’s investigating a settlement on a planet called Purdan that might have a terrifying secret.

And of course, you know what that secret might be…

Step into the shoes of Zula Hendricks as she embarks on a mission to the planet Purdan in search of a former squadmate. After a mysterious attack, Zula and her AI companion, Davis 01, must navigate the desolate Castor’s Cradle research facility to uncover its secrets.

Survios press release

Alien: Rogue Incursion is coming up this week to bring a little terror to your Holiday Season. Fans can look for it this Thursday, on December 19th. It’ll be made available for both PCVR (via Steam) and PSVR2, though there’s more to come. A Meta Quest 3 launch is in the works as well, though that’s not expected until February 13th, 2025.
