Vessel of Hatred won’t be the last that fans will see of Diablo in the short term, as Blizzard’s hit is getting its own comic series.
Vessel of reading
The latest addition to the deep lore of Blizzard’s demon-slaying action RPG Diablo is here with Vessel of Hatred. The expansion pack follows the game’s main campaign, bringing in a new character class, more action, and new story branches. Though that pack launched last month though, there’s even more Diablo coming up.
That’ll arrive by way of Titan Comics, as the publisher revealed that the iconic property will be getting its own comic book series in 2025. Set after the events of Diablo IV and the Vessel of Hatred downloadable content, Diablo: Dawn of Hatred (we’re sensing a theme) will delve into a society that’s trying to rebuild from the game’s catastrophic events.
The book will be penned by famed horror comics scribe Cullen Bunn, with art from Daniele Serra and colors from Jovanna Plata. Although we don’t have much to share in the way of the comic’s story, we can show you some of Serra’s art to get you ready.
Diablo: Dawn of Hatred will launch with a “free issue primer”, according to Titan Comics, which fans can look for on Free Comic Book Day 2025. The yearly freebie celebration will be held at participating comics shops this coming May.
