S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy is set to make landfall on the Nintendo Switch this November.
Legends of the Switch
While S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is about to get a long-awaited and much ballyhooed sequel on Xbox and PC, revealed the other day at Nintendo’s big double-Direct presentation, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy is on the way to the Switch.
From developer GSC Game World, the package will include all three original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games, with Shadow of Chornobyl, Clear Sky, and Call of Prypiat. For those unfamiliar with the series, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. sends players into the Chornobyl Anomalous Zone, for some radiation-fueled FPS action. Not that it’s all action though, as the fan-favorite series has also incorporated role-playing elements, and wraps it all up with a survival/horror bow.
The bundle of those first three classic games has been out since March of this year on other platforms, but this November will mark the first time that any of the included titles will appear on the Switch. Of course, each game will be optimized for Nintendo’s console as well, with all the expected additions.
Fans can look for “full TV/handheld/tabletop modes support, gyroscope integration, and touchscreen controls where applicable”, according to GSC Game World. While we do have those details for you, we do not have a trailer or a release date to share.
We can tell you that you can expect S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy to arrive some time later this year though. Will that include a physical as well as a digital release? We kinda doubt the former, but stay tuned. You never know.
