Prime Gaming giving away Middle-earth PC games for The Rings of Power’s second season debut

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is entering its second season, and PC players can nab some free games to celebrate.

The Lord of the Rings: the Rings of Power, as a TV show, has been a little divisive. Okay that might be putting it lightly, since the episodic Prime Video presentation plays fast and loose with canon at times, meaning that hardcore Tolkien fans haven’t exactly been thrilled with it.

That was true for season one, and it seems that the same level of enthusiasm has carried over into the second season. That’s set to debut tomorrow, August 29th, and will bring a string of new story threads into the series’ singular take on Middle-earth’s second age. Even if you don’t like the show though, you still might want to take Amazon up on a slate of free games.

The company announced today, that a pair of Lord of the Rings titles are free to grab as a part of Prime Gaming, with Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition and LEGO The Lord of the Rings. On top of those, the former game’s sequel, Middle-earth: Shadow of War is free to play via Amazon’s rotating game-streaming platform, Luna.
