No, it’s not Donkey Kong, but Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble that arrives this week for Switch, plus a Metal Slug tower defense game and more.

Probably the biggest new addition to the Switch’s roster this week, Sega’s latest Super Monkey Ball title is here… or at least, it will be in a few days time. If you know the series, then you probably know what to expect, as players will have to roll their simian-in-a-ball around a track. Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble is set to additionally offer some pretty deep sounding customization options, new moves to give your character a leg up, co-op adventure mode, and 16 player online action.

If rolling monkeys aren’t you thing, then you might be interested in Metal Slug Attack Reloaded. A tower defense game (wait don’t tune out yet), MSAR serves up a “beginner-friendly” control scheme, and a look that’s fitting with the traditional look of Metal Slug titles. There’s also Moonstone Island, which sounds like an interesting mashup of genres, and those fresh additions for the N64 and Game Boy Advance corners of the Nintendo’s Switch Online service.

  • Moonstone Island – This creature-collecting, dungeon-crawling, deck-building life sim features 100 procedurally generated islands in the sky you’ll explore with the goal of becoming a world-renowned alchemist. While kicking back and becoming part of the community, you can craft items, tend to your farm, brew potions, decorate your home, befriend the local villagers and even fall in love! Moonstone Island is available now.
  • Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble – Let the Rumble Begin! AiAi and friends are back in the newest adventure in the Super Monkey Ballseries. Customize your character from over 300 options, roll out across more than 200 stages and launch past rivals with the new Spin Dash move.   • Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Switch Online

Both games are available now for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack** members!
