Marvel Comics’ mutants are joining the fight against the vamps in Blood Hunt

Marvel’s Blood Hunt event won’t leave out the mutants, though its X-crossovers are probably not what you’re expecting.

We’ve almost got a complete look at the individual issues that’ll be crossing over with Blood Hunt, Marvel Comics’ big event for this spring. Only two mysteries remain, as the newest round of announcements has revealed one-shots for four familiar X-faces.

We probably should have expected that though, since what’s a Marvel crossover without the uh… X-Men? Well, hang on, because these are not the heroes you probably thought you’d see, and there’s no X-Men team in sight. While there will be a mutant presence fighting the battle against the vampires, the likes of Cyclops, Storm, Logan, Gambit, Jean Grey and others haven’t made the cut.

As mentioned above too, it also doesn’t look like there’s going to be any cohesive “X-Men” team involved, as Marvel is highlighting that the Blood Hunt comes at a really bad time for mutants in general. Not that it’s great for anyone on Earth, but mutants are in the midst of the fall of Krakoa, and are scattered to the four winds when the eternal night falls.

Look for all four of the one-shots below to hit stands in June.
