Unbox Threezero’s new Optimus Prime DLX figure with Sideshow

Back with another unboxing video is Sideshow, this time featuring the Rise of the Beasts Optimus Prime, from Threezero.

Like a Mac truck

There are a lot of Transformers toys out there right now. That’s not exactly unique to the property, as this modern age seems quite conducive to multiple toy series’ that feature the same properties. There are kid-aimed, mass-market, niche, and of course collector grade lines out there for stuff like G.I. Joe, Ninja Turtles, Marvel and DC, and as we’re looking at here, Transformers.

The newest Optimus Prime to be en route to fans hails from Threezero, a high end collector toy company that’s made a habit of producing some wicked figures. Prime looks every bit that too, as he joins the “DLX” line with a height of 11.2″ and a whopping 53 points of articulation.

Here’s a look, courtesy of retailer Sideshow:

Inspired by Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, the Optimus Prime DLX Collectible Figure by Threezero is a stunning diecast recreation of the Autobot leader’s on-screenappearance.

The Optimus Prime DLX Collectible Figure is comprised of an intricate alloy skeleton which adds weight to the piece and allows for a huge range of articulation. This figure features impressive attention to detail, with weathered paint application and LED light-up functions on his eyes and ion blasters.

Optimus comes equipped with dual-arm ion blasters, two energon swords, and an energon axe. Also included are three sets of interchangeable hands and an interchangeable battle mask, allowing for a wide variety of poses.

And that’s not all! This figure set also includes an axe-holding hand for the
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Bumblebee DLX Collectible Figure so that fans can recreate the memorable scene where Bumblebee wields Optimus Prime’s axe.

Sideshow Toys press release

The Optimus Prime DLX figure is just about to hit its release window, and is expected to ship some time in the December 2023 – February 2024 timeframe. Priced in at $230 USD, Prime is still in stock for pre-order, though that stocking level is apparently running low (according to the listing). So, if you want one, you might want to order up now.
