World War II sniping action has likely never been closer or more immersive, as in Sniper Elite VR: Winter Warrior.

Expanding the world of Rebellion’s Sniper Elite series, is Sniper Elite VR: Winter Warrior, the first virtual reality offering to bear the name. This new game, set for release on Oculus Quest platforms, places players in the boots of The Partisan, an Italian resistance member who’s sent on some deadly dangerous missions around his home country.
The campaign is just the start though, as players can also take part in a snipers-only mode and one that pits them against waves of foes in a battle for survival.
Developed in partnership with Just Add Water, in Sniper Elite VR: Winter Warrior you play as “the Partisan,” a former Italian resistance soldier reliving his memories of banishing the Nazi forces from his homeland. The game features a full story-driven campaign in which you uncover Nazi “wonder-weapons” that must be destroyed along with those behind the plans.
In addition to the campaign, players can hop into two additional game modes: Sniper Hunt and Last Stand. Sniper Hunt is an intense game of cat and mouse that pits you against expert Nazi snipers. Take out a patrol of enemy soldiers to lure out the sniper before relocating, collecting ammo and getting ready to face the next opponent. Last Stand sees you digging in against waves of enemies. Think fast and act faster to gather weapons and ammunition and set traps before fighting to survive against the oncoming forces.

Along with everything that you see above, the game will indeed bring back the X-Ray styled kill-cam, and feature realistic aiming. Yes, that means you’ll actually have to hold the rifle with both hands, and bring it up to your eyeline to aim. Pretty slick sounding actually.
Sniper Elite VR: Winter Warrior is set to release on the Oculus Quest 2, 3, and Pro, on November 30th, 2023.
