Robosen’s self-converting Transformers line grows again, this time with a movie-inspired Optimus

The Last Prime returns, but as you’ve never seen him before with Robosen’s Transformers: Rise of the Beasts edition of Optimus Prime.

Meet the new Prime

Yes, it’s another Optimus Prime that’s making his way to Robosen’s Transformers line. That makes 3, if you’ve been paying attention, with the original and the smaller edition the arrived last year.

But while the character himself is familiar, this particular form-factor is all-new. That’s because, for the first time, Robosen is adapting the movie version of the last Prime. Specifically, this is the Autobot leader as he’s presented in the upcoming Transformers: Rise of the Beasts feature film.

From the looks of it, this version of the character will have the same converting abilities as previous releases. So you’ll likely be able to command him to transform to his vehicle form and back, as well as perform a number of additional actions.

Not that that’s been confirmed though. Robosen is just teasing this new Prime right now, with the promise of more details to be announced “soon”.

So basically, stay tuned. But in the meantime, you can check out the product shots in the gallery below, and throw your name into the hat to win a copy of “TRANSFORMERS: A Visual History book (retail value $99)”.

Signups for that, as well as for notifications on upcoming info on the new Optimus Prime, can be partaken of here.
