Missed the latest Dungeons & Dragons film in theaters? It hits home video… tomorrow!

If you skipped Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves in theaters, you’ve got a second chance via digital platforms starting tomorrow.

Gelatinous Cube

If you wrote off Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves before it even opened in theaters, you probably weren’t alone. The movie didn’t have the best pre-release press, and ended up pulling in under $200mil at the box office. Here’s the thing though, while that latter fact is true, it also got some excellent critical acclaim. ‘Who cares’, you say? Well it also got some excellent fan acclaim.

That’s right, the reaction from people who actually care about D&D was even better than the 90% critics scores, besting it by 3 points. And yes, before you ask, it does seem as though the film respects the source material quite a bit.

Even though it’s a comedic take on D&D, it looks to still be D&D.

“Bursting with action, comedy and spectacle” (Kristy Puchko, Mashable), DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: HONOR AMONG THIEVES has been hailed as “a total blast” (Scott Mantz, KTLA-TV) and “the best movie of the year” (Lex Briscuso, The Wrap).  Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes® and boasting a 93% audience score, the film is “the perfect movie for the whole family!” (Joe Deckelmeier, Screen Rant).

Paramount Pictures press relase

It was a short quest

While you can see from that trailer that the movie hit theaters in March, it’s already heading to home video. That’s become more or less a norm, if you haven’t been paying attention. There’s still a good chunk of the theater-going public who kind of doesn’t go to the theater. Well, not too much anyway.

So with that in mind, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is coming to digital formats tomorrow, May 2nd. Fans will be able to catch it both streaming via OnDemand sources, and pick up a digital copy to keep. Speaking of, there is a physical release on the way as well, though that’ll be May 30th. Just something to keep in mind if you prefer a disc-based film library on your shelf.

If you do choose to buy the film digitally though, you’re in for an hour of extra content. While the streaming version won’t have any bonuses, digitally purchased copies will include:
