Trailer: Men of War II teases mods, new theme music, and shows off fresh keyart

Fulqrum Publishing and Best Way have quite a bit to tease about the upcoming Men of War II, including mods, music, and… art.

Couldn’t think of another ‘M’ word

With the return of mod support in Men of War II, the team behind the extremely popular ‘Born in Fire’ Mod for the original Men of War and Men of War: Assault Squad 2, hailed by critics as “one of the best Men of War: Assault Squad 2 mods”, returned to work on mods for Men of War II. A teaser of what they are working on is available now:

So as you can see, this was the briefest of teases as to what players can expect from Men of War II’s modding support. It’s a tantalizing glimpse though, of what’s in store.

And speaking of, the new keyart from Ástor Alexander provides that as well, with teases of the action included in the final game. Europe in flames is the backdrop there, with Allied soldiers, tanks, and fighters highlighting.

As mentioned though, there’s also a bit about the games OST. The soundtrack will have music from both “Grammy-nominated and two-time BAFTA-winning composer, Austin Wintory, and YouTube musician Alina Gingertail.” Together they’ll be infusing the game’s campaign with a musical piece that’s meant to highlight the emotion of war.

“It was a wonderful pleasure to reunite with my friend Alina Gingertail to write this song, Gentle Winds. As powerful as her voice can be, and as exciting as Men of War II surely is, it seemed an opportunity to explore a more poignant side of heroics,” said Austin Wintory. “The song, with lyrics by the amazing Simon Hall, became more of an elegy for war. I hope you enjoy it.”

Look for Men of War II to hit the PC some time in 2023.
