The blood will flow once again, as players will get to cut down zombie hordes one more time with Back 4 Blood’s free Halloween update.
Blood for… zombies
Is it me, or does Back 4 Blood not get all that much press? The spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead, Back 4 Blood released on consoles and the PC about a year ago, to some acclaim, and yet it feels like it was pretty quickly moved on from.
If you’re still a fan though, know that Warner Bros. Games and Turtle Rock Studios certainly haven’t forgotten about you. And to prove that point, they’re releasing a special Halloween update for the game, that’ll be free to download.
The pack is made up mostly of aesthetic items, but it’s a timely drop since it’s all Halloween-themed. So if you’re looking for an excuse to get a new game rolling in the co-op title, this is definitely as good of one as any.
Here’s what’s included:
- New seasonal character skins for Evangelo and Karlee*
- New legendary accessories
- New “Intel” card type
- New Halloween-themed titles, emblems and sprays*
- New weapon skins, incl. the Pumpkin Eater* weapon skin
- Fort Hope Halloween-themed decorations**
- Matchmaking for No Hope difficulty level
The October free update is out right now for all versions of Back 4 Blood, though it’s not alone. Part of the game’s Annual Pass, Tunnels of Terror and Children of the Worm are both out as well.
*All Halloween-themed content will be available from Oct. 11, 2022 at 18:00 p.m. BST through Nov. 13. 2022 at 17:00 p.m. GMT.
**Fort Hope Halloween decorations will be removed from the game on Nov. 13, 2022 at 17:00 p.m. GMT.
