Time-bending, martial arts action title Sifu coming to Switch this fall

Acclaimed by fans and critics alike, SloClap’s action title Sifu is officially targeting the Nintendo Switch for a November release.

Losing can age you

And by that I mean, it’ll definitely 100% age you… in Sifu anyway. That’s one of the interesting things about developer SloClap’s acton title; when you lose, your character ages. This isn’t some advance of time either, see in Sifu you’re on a quest for vengeance, powered by a mystical artifact.

When you die, the relic returns you to the land of the living… but at a cost.

Sifu places players in the shoes of a Pak Mei Kung-Fu student who has spent their life training for a day of reckoning after the brutal murder of their entire family by a mysterious assassination squad. With just one day and countless enemies in their way, players must beat insurmountable odds and defeat members of the powerful organization to claim revenge. However, on such a quest for vengeance, time is the price paid. With a magical talisman to revive players after death, defeat doesn’t spell the end. Though the student always comes back, the cost of magic is dear, however, and they will age significantly every time they come back to life.

A hit of an indie title on just about every other platform, SlpClap’s brawling gem is now making its way to the Switch. Look for that on November 8th, 2022. Just in time for a little holiday kung-fu fightin’.

The main delivery will be of the digital sort, though if you’re a big fan you can also opt for either the Vengeance or Redemption Edition. No word yet on when the Vengeance Edition will hit pre-order, but the Redemption Edition is up now, and incudes:

The Redemption Edition, available to pre-order physically now, features a SteelBook copy of the game for the Nintendo Switch, as well as a figurine, pendant of tenacity, lithograph set and a 160-page ‘Behind the Art of Sifu’ developer’s diary.
