Writer Jason Aaron has done a heck of a lot with Marvel’s premier super-team, but as a wise man once said, all good things must come to an end.
Five years gone
It’s hard to actual fathom that Jason Aaron has been crafting Avengers tales for half a decade. There it is though, with the 60 freaking issues in the can, of books like Avengers, Avengers Assemble, and that 1 million BC thing.
So with that kind of catalog behind him, you’d best believe that Marvel is going to close out his time with a monster event. Not that it’s a company-wide crossover or anything, but it definitely looks like Avengers Assemble is gong to be a big one in A-land.
Aaron will be joined by artists Bryan Hitch, Javier Garrón, and Aaron Kuder for the story, which will cross time, space, and (of course) universes.
From throughout time and the far corners of the Multiverse, the Mightiest Heroes of All the Earths are assembling as never before for a battle beyond all imagining. A war that will take us from the prehistoric beginnings of an Earth under assault by the greatest villains who’ve ever lived to the watchtower that stands at the dark heart of the all and the always, where an army of unprecedented evil now rises. The biggest Avengers saga in Marvel history is on the horizon and right now, fans can see how the story will unfold come December!

The action kicks off on November 30th, with Aaron and Hitch’s Avengers Assemble Alpha #1, before spilling into December 7th’s Avengers #63 (from Aaron and Garrón), and finally Avengers Forever #12 on December 21st (from Aaron and Kuder).
