Trailer: Part man, part machine, RoboCop is back back in Rogue City

NACON and developer Teyon revealed the first look at their secretive RoboCop title today. An FPS, RoboCop: Rogue City is looking great.

Dead or alive

NACON and Teyon will work with MGM to develop an authentic RoboCop game experience that is faithful to the franchise’s DNA, while immersing gamers in an original story that enables them to play as none other than RoboCop himself. In the original RoboCop film, when good cop Alex Murphy is fatally wounded by ruthless criminals, innovative doctors are able to piece him back together as an unstoppable crime-fighting cyborg called “RoboCop.”

NACON press release

As you can see, there isn’t all that much to go off of just yet for RoboCop: Rogue City. It kind of sounds like that’s not going to change any time soon either, since NACON says that additional info “will be shared at a later date”.

That probably should be expected though, since the game isn’t coming to consoles and PC til some time in 2023. Still, for an early trailer, it’s looking pretty great. with the dearth of RoboCop stuff out there in general, it’s worth getting excited about.
